Are you worried about hiring an illegal worker with a fake ID?

Hiring an unauthorized worker with fraudulent documents can result in a fine of up to $27,894 per employee!

An employer found to have knowingly hired an unauthorized employee can also be barred from federal contracts or other government benefits and programs.

Is it real or a fake?

A skilled counterfeiter can create a fake Permanent Resident Card, fake Social Security card, or almost any other ID that is nearly indistinguishable from the real thing; especially to the untrained eye.

Why not let an expert take a look?

Verifyi9’s staff of I-9 Specialists have reviewed tens of thousands of identification documents, helping our clients avoid hiring numerous unauthorized workers. Our fraudulent document review service is now available to all employers!

How it works: Upload a photo image of the front and back of the suspect document. Verifyi9 document specialists will review and return a response. If we determine that a document is fraudulent or has been altered, our detailed analysis can be relied upon as part of your decision to terminate the unauthorized employee.

Follow these tips and guidelines for a successful review:

  • Verifyi9 can only review identification documents that are found in the Form I-9 Lists of Acceptable Documents.
  • Verifyi9 can only review documents that have been presented by your new hire or employee for whom you are completing a Supplement B reverification.
  • Using this service to pre-screen candidates is prohibited; however, you can have us review ID documents while you are in the process of completing Form I-9 for a candidate who has been offered and accepted a position.
  • Please read the Terms of Service; they are intended to keep both you and us out of trouble!
  • Full-sized smartphone photos, uncropped and unenhanced, are best. Ensure that they are clear and crisp, not blurred.
  • Upload both sides of the suspect document (unless the back is totally blank); evidence of fraud can be found on both front and back.
  • Both the Permanent Resident Card and US Passport Card on this page are fake. The PRC contains over a dozen articulable indicators of fraud.
