How Do I Terminate a Pre-existing E-Verify Account?

Before we can activate your new account, you must request termination of an existing account– one that you may have initiated or created either directly or through another Employer Agent. Only your program administrator (probably you, if you created the account) may request that your original account be terminated.

BY PHONE:

1. Call the E-Verify Customer Support at 888-464-4218 . Customer Support offers free live assistance Monday through Friday from 8:00 am EST to 5:00 pm local time, except on federal holidays.

Ask the Customer Support representative to terminate your old account AND activate your new account with us. Requesting activation of the new account will speed up the process by a day or two.

BY EMAIL:

1. Send an email from the Program Administrator’s email account to E-Verify@dhs.gov requesting your company’s termination.

THROUGH YOUR E-VERIFY ACCOUNT:

1. Login to your E-Verify account.

2. Click on “Close Company/Account”

If you are successful, you will receive an e-mail confirming the termination request. Please notify us as soon as you have requested termination of your old account!
